Product Features
TD 1017 is fine particle hydrophobic silica.
TD 1017 contains larger than 2 % chemically bound carbon and is therefore not wettable by water .
The wettibility of TD 1017 with methanol is approx . 55 % and
indicates its highly hydrophobic character.

Vapor-phase silica (commonly known as fumed silica) is a white, non-toxic, odorless and amorphous inorganic fine chemical product prepared by hydrolysis of chlorosilane in hydrogen-oxygen flame at high temperature. By adjusting the process conditions, gaseous silica products with primary particle size of 7-40 nanometers and specific surface area of 50-400 m2/g can be produced. Because of its small particle size, large specific surface area and high surface activity, fumed silica has been widely used in rubber, paint, adhesive, paint, ink, plastics, cosmetics, agriculture, medicine and other fields. It has good reinforcing, thickening, thixotropy, extinction, anti-ultraviolet, sterilization and other functions.
